Pars Today – The analytical website Middle East Monitor wrote in a report that by creating a shared economic and security ecosystem, Iran and Saudi Arabia can not only advance their own interests but also strengthen stability and peace in West Asia.

As a major regional power, Iran, along with Saudi Arabia with its extensive economic diversification plans, can leverage their vast resources to create a shared ecosystem that could serve as a model for other countries in the region and for Islamic organizations. Moreover, given the changing global energy landscape and regional rivalries, without cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh, ongoing conflicts in West Asia could lead to lost opportunities and heightened international tensions.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the Middle East Monitor report suggested that Iran and Saudi Arabia organize their cooperation on three levels: bilateral, regional, and transregional. By establishing joint economic, security, and social institutions, they could strengthen the management of proxy wars and technological threats.

This approach includes establishing a regional information-sharing network, transparent defense agreements, a shared economic ecosystem among 57 Muslim countries, and a socio-religious advisory body.

According to the report, only through broad political and ethical commitment can conflicts be reduced and economic, security, and social opportunities be harnessed for the benefit of the nations and the region. The report, recalling China’s mediation in the resumption of Iran-Saudi relations, described this opportunity as historic and unprecedented. Political analysts believe that the restoration of Tehran-Riyadh ties could reshape regional interactions, help reduce tensions, strengthen mutual trust, and create a foundation for cooperation in economic, technological, and security fields.
