Stalemate in talks between Lebanese government and Israeli regime

Pars Today – Al Mayadeen, citing a Lebanese diplomatic source, reported that there are currently no plans to hold a new round of talks between the Lebanese government and the Israeli side next month.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the Al Mayadeen report points to a stalemate and deep disagreements in the talks between the Lebanese government and the Israeli regime, mediated by the United States.

A Lebanese diplomatic source told Al Mayadeen that there are no plans for a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli side next month. If the parties agree to continue the talks, the meeting will likely be postponed until after the end of the current summer.

According to the source, the positions of the US and Israeli sides have prevented progress in the talks.

Earlier, Lebanon’s Hezbollah called on the government to halt direct negotiations with Israel after the Israeli Foreign Ministry published a fabricated map that included parts of southern Lebanon.
