Israeli media: Saudi Arabia trapped in unprecedented Yemen pressure

Pars Today- The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom has written that Saudi Arabia is facing unprecedented pressure amid simultaneous threats to the Strait of Hormuz in the east, the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the south, and the land route leading to the Red Sea, all of which are vital routes for the country’s oil exports.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Israel Hayom reported that pressure on Riyadh has intensified after Washington rejected Saudi Arabia’s request for assistance in confronting Yemen’s Ansarullah and stopping its advance in the Bab al-Mandab region.

According to the Israeli newspaper, US President Donald Trump has not responded to Saudi Arabia’s request for direct military intervention in Yemen.

Israel Hayom reported that this situation has prompted the Persian Gulf states to seek alternative options.

The newspaper noted that the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of the Persian Gulf states and their Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, in Oman is taking place within this framework.

Israel Hayom added that Oman and Iran’s efforts to reach temporary agreements on maritime transport through the Strait of Hormuz demonstrate the pressure facing the Persian Gulf states.
