Iranian lawmakers in a statement on Tuesday deplored the massacre of the Palestinians by the Israeli regime as well as the US relocation of its embassy from Tel Aviv to al-Quds.

"We as Iranian legislators strongly condemn Trump's illegal move to recognize transfer of the (Zionist regime's so-called) capital to al-Quds on the Nakba Day and the Zionist regime's fire against the Palestinian protesters, suppression and martyrdom of nearly 60 people and wounding more than 2,700 people," the statement said.

The Iranian MPs also called on the international bodies and Islamic countries not to remain indifferent vis-à-vis the crisis-stirring and child-killing Zionist regime, and ensured that Palestinians' resistance will eventually defeat the criminals.

The United States officially announced the opening of its new embassy in al-Quds on Monday amid deadly Israeli crackdown on peaceful protests by Palestinians in the occupied territories.

According to Gaza health officials, at least 59 Palestinians were shot dead and more than 2,700 were wounded by Israeli snipers who are positioned along the fence.
