Egypt jet with 69 aboard disappears

An EgyptAir flight has gone missing with 69 people onboard while heading from Paris to Cairo.

According to Press TV quoting the airline, flight MS-804 left the French capital just after 21:00 GMT.

The Airbus A320 disappeared from radar at the border of the flight information region between Athens and Egypt nearly four hours after it took off.

59 passengers, including two infants and a child were onboard the plane along with 10 crew members.

Rescue teams are searching the general area where the aircraft went missing north of the Egyptian coast.

This is the second unfortunate incident for Egypt’s national air carrier.

In March, an EgyptAir plane flying from Alexandria to Cairo was hijacked and forced to land in Cyprus.
