Pars Today – Egypt’s national football team coach broke into tears after his side’s victory over Australia and said, “I dedicate this victory to the people of Egypt and to the kind and generous people of Palestine.”
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Hossam Hassan dedicated Egypt’s penalty shootout victory over Australia and qualification for the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup not only to the Egyptian people but also to the Palestinian people.
The Egypt coach said:
“My heart and soul are with the Palestinian people. I sincerely thank them because they were very happy for us. May God grant them victory, and may God have mercy on their martyrs.”
