Pars Today – The TV BRICS International Symphony Orchestra held its first open-air concert in Palace Square in St. Petersburg, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the BRICS group.

According to Pars Today, citing BRICS TV, the TV BRICS International Symphony Orchestra performed in an open-air venue in Russia for the first time. The concert took place on June 5, 2026, in Palace Square, St. Petersburg.

The orchestra features an expanded lineup of musicians from Russia and other countries. In the first part of the program, guest soloists from Russia, China, and Iran participated: Olga Pudova (Mariinsky Theatre), Gu Jianchao (Beijing Opera and Ballet Theatre), and Iranian violinist Amin Ghafari.

The central part of the concert was dedicated to the world premiere of the symphonic poem “BRICS – Coexistence of Cultures,” specially composed by Russian composer and pianist Murat Kabardokov.

In the second part of the program, the orchestra performed alongside Italian singer Alessandro Safina.

The TV BRICS International Symphony Orchestra was established in 2023 with the aim of promoting cultural achievements and classical music from BRICS countries in the global media space. Its main activities include participation in international projects and the performance of classical and local music for radio recordings and television broadcasts.
