Pars Today – Brazil’s president, responding to Washington’s latest hostile measures against his country, said that Brazil would not make concessions to the United States and would continue defending its economic and political sovereignty.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva wrote on X early Friday:
“Brazil will fight for its sovereignty without hesitation.”
The remarks came after the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), following a year-long investigation into what Washington described as “unfair trade practices” by Brasília, announced that a 25 percent tariff would be imposed on some Brazilian imports starting July 22.
