Thousands of migrants deported to third countries under Trump administration

Pars Today- An investigation by a French non-governmental organization shows that Donald Trump’s second administration has deported more than 25,000 people under secret agreements with 35 developing countries, allocating $410 million for the process.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, since Trump returned to the White House in January 2025, Washington has been signing agreements with developing countries to accept migrants who cannot legally be returned to their countries of origin.

According to an investigation published Monday by France-based NGO Forbidden Stories, the United States has deported more than 25,000 migrants under secret agreements with 35 countries and sent them to third countries that are party to the agreements. The migrants reportedly have no ties to the countries receiving them.

According to data collected by the French organization, at least 25,447 people had been deported from the United States to third countries as of August 31.

Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported earlier this year that Washington has been using visa bans and restrictions on African countries to pressure them into accepting deportees.
