Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and Dutch Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport Martin van Rijn in a meeting in Vienna called for the expansion of bilateral ties in the war on drugs trafficking.

"Iran and the Netherlands should broaden cooperation in the campaign against drugs trafficking," Rahmani Fazli said during the meeting in the Austrian capital on Monday.

Van Rijn, for his part, pointed to the bilateral cooperation in the region and the world, particularly in the campaign against narcotics, and called for a new chapter in these ties.

In a relevant development last October, Dutch Ambassador to Tehran Susana Trastal underscored that her country was determined to broaden relations and cooperation with Iran, especially in trade and economic fields.
