Australian pilgrim joins Arba’een March, the greatest journey of love

TEHRAN (FNA)- The holy city of Karbala in Iraq is the center of the proceedings which many pilgrims travel miles on foot to reach. Almost 17 to 20 million pilgrims usually attend Arba’een ritual there, including about three million foreigners.

Arba’een, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the third Shias’ Imam and Grandson of Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny).
