Why has Zionism reached this degree of hate-mongering?
Pars Today - Some Zionists, due to bitter historical experiences and a sense of insecurity from other Jewish groups and movements that consider themselves superior, have developed a sense of inferiority which manifests itself in aggressive, violent and hateful behavior towards others, especially Palestinians.
Zionism, as a political movement, has always been controversial and has attracted a lot of negative views due to its high spirit of hate-mongering. One of the main issues that has led to an increase in hatred in this movement is the approaches and actions taken in the name of defending the rights of Jews and establishing the state of Israel. Here we discuss some of the main factors that have popularized the spirit of hatred among the followers of this extremist movement:
Internal racism
One of the main reasons for the prevalence of hatred among Zionists is the internal racism that many of them experience from other Jews. This racism is in reaction to the long history of anti-Semitism and discrimination against Jews by other Jews.
Some Zionists, due to bitter historical experiences and a sense of insecurity from other Jewish groups and movements that consider themselves superior, have developed a sense of inferiority which manifests itself in aggressive, violent and hateful behavior towards others, especially Palestinians. These feelings are also seen in Israel's aggressive and military policies against Palestinians.
Religious extremism and external racism
Another root of hatred in Zionism is the belief in religious and racial superiority. The ideology of Zionism, especially in its extreme form, is based on a kind of religious and racial supremacy that believes Jews are the "chosen people" of God and have the right to rule over the land of Palestine and parts of West Asia.
These beliefs have led to policies such as occupation, apartheid and even crimes against humanity, which have in turn reinforced the sense of hatred and resentment among different Jewish and Zionist communities.
The construction and expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, which has been repeatedly condemned by the United Nations, is an example of these policies whose survival depends on the survival and increase of hatred towards the other among the followers of this cult.
Propaganda and disinformation
Part of the existing hatred also stems from the propaganda and disinformation spread by Zionist media and institutions.
These media outlets, by presenting inaccurate and exaggerated information about security threats and Palestinian actions, try to justify their own violent and repressive actions and increase their followers.
For example, during the retaliatory attack by Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023, some media outlets published exaggerated and inaccurate claims about the violence carried out by Hamas, which later turned out to be incorrect.
Militarized hatred
Israel's military conduct in dealing with Palestinians and other resistance groups is another factor contributing to increased hatred among Zionists. Military aggression, civilian killings, home demolitions, infrastructure destruction, and economic blockade are all examples of violent behavior that has led to a kind of ethics of hatred among Zionists.
In the recent war against Gaza alone, Israeli bombings resulted in the deaths of more than 34,000 people, including many civilians, and vital infrastructure in Gaza was destroyed. Such military crimes and massacres, accompanied by hatred, can only survive and continue if the Zionists themselves support them, which they do.
Lack of diplomacy and dialogue
In many cases, even in the United States and Europe, Zionism has resorted to force and political pressure instead of using diplomacy and dialogue to resolve issues.
This counterproductive approach, in addition to creating a constantly hate-mongering attitude among Zionists and exacerbating tensions, has led many Western individuals and communities to feel that Zionism is only pursuing its own interests and does not care about the rights and opinions of others.
In summary, the roots of hatred in Zionism can be found in a sense of internal racism, religious and racial extremism, propaganda, military crimes, and a lack of willingness for diplomacy and dialogue. Together, these factors, regardless of fostering a sense of hatred among Zionist Jews, have led to an increase in hatred and hostility in this regime's interactions.
