According to the religious teachings, patience means being forbearing and steadfast. The Arabic equivalent of this word (Sabr) has been mentioned in the Qur’an more than 100 times. It is so important among the faithful that they usually take refuge with God from impatience. As per the Hadith, the relation of patience with faith has been likened to the relation of head with body. In other words, if a person’s hands and feet are cut, he will survive; but if his head is cut off, he will die.
