Kamtaal is one of the most beautiful regions of the East Azarbaijan Province. This region is located on the south banks of Aras River.
There is a high variety of plants in Kamtaal. More than 450 conspicuous species of plants exist in this region. Kamtaal is home to various types of birds. 28 species live here all year long. Some of the birds that are widely found here are: Grouse, partridge, golden eagle, wild duck, heron, pheasant, buzzard and hawk.
