  • Iran condemns US airstrikes on Yemen

Pars Today – The spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry has forthrightly condemned US airstrikes on various Yemeni regions, including a center in Sanaa where African immigrants were being kept, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of over 100 innocent people.

Ismail Baghaie, the spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry, condemned US airstrikes and bombardment of various regions in Yemen, which had resulted in the killing of hundreds of innocent people, describing this US action as a war crime.

Baghaie strongly criticized the silence and indifference of the United Nations and human rights organizations with regards to repeated violations of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen in recent years.

Turning to the ongoing Israeli genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel's continued military aggression against Lebanon, the spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry said it is perfectly clear the United States wants to weaken Islamic countries and turn West Asia into an insecure region.

Ismail Baghaie pointedly added: "US military aggression and airstrikes on Yemen should be seen as part of this malevolent effort."
