Iran: Palestinian people’s right to self-determination is non-negotiable
Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, stressing on Wednesday that Gaza requires an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, said a lasting ceasefire must be accompanied by reconstruction of the Strip. He also asserted that the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination is non-negotiable.
Speaking at the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in West Asia and Palestine, Amir Saeid Iravani added that the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with East al-Quds as its capital is the legitimate and historical aspiration of the Palestinian people. The senior Iranian diplomat also emphasized that the primary threat to regional peace and stability stems from the terrorist and destabilizing actions of the Israeli regime and its main supporter, the United States. /IRNA
