Arrest of an Iranian national in England

An official statement published on the Metropolitan Police website said that the 31-year-old man was arrested on Friday morning (9 May 2025) in an area of ​​northwest London as part of a counter-terrorism police investigation. According to the statement by Metropolitan Police, the arrest was made under Section 27 of the National Security Act 2023 and the individual concerned is currently in custody.
