Nabih Berri: Normalization of relations with Israel is treason

Pars Today - The speaker of Lebanon’s Parliament said on Saturday that the Zionist regime’s goal in expanding its attacks is to push Lebanon towards normalization of relations with this regime, but he emphasized that normalization of relations is treason and will never happen.

The Lebanese newspaper Al-Joumhouriya wrote on Saturday: “Those who met with ‘Nabieh Berri’ quoted him as saying that the Israeli regime, with its aggressions against Lebanon, seeks to create a new situation in the country through which it can show that it has the upper hand.” The speaker of the Lebanese Parliament emphasized that the Zionist regime wants to say that it can, by expanding its attacks, push Lebanon to normalize relations, but we are committed to the ceasefire and Lebanon will not go in the direction that Tel Aviv wants. / IRNA
