Oman's sultan officially welcomes Iranian president

Pars Today – Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman officially welcomed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who arrived in Muscat at the head of a high-ranking delegation.

Sultan Haitham officially received President Pezeshkian on Tuesday evening at Qasr Al-Alam Palace. After standing on the ceremonial platform and listening to the national anthems of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman, the two leaders reviewed the honor guard. Senior officials from both sides were then introduced to one another.

In honor of President Pezeshkian and the Iranian delegation, 21 cannon shots were fired as a gesture of peace and friendship. / IRNA
