Brazil: We support Iran’s right to enrichment

Pars Today – The special assistant to the president of Brazil for international affairs, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of BRICS, emphasized on Wednesday evening in a meeting with the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) that Brazil supports Iran’s right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy and uranium enrichment.

Celso Amorim and Ali Akbar Ahmadian, on the sidelines of the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues in Moscow, emphasized the need to strengthen economic relations between Iran and Brazil as two members of the BRICS group. In the meeting between the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and the special assistant to the president of Brazil, the two sides also stressed the importance of continued consultations among independent countries to counter unilateralism. / IRNA
