Pars Today – The first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that the relationship between the governments and peoples of Iran and Tajikistan is based on shared cultural and historical roots and is of a brotherly nature.

Mohammad Reza Aref, who is on a two-day official visit to Tajikistan, visited the National Museum of Tajikistan on Friday afternoon. During his visit, Aref emphasized the abundant cultural, historical, and linguistic commonalities between the two nations and stressed the importance of preserving and promoting cultural and historical sites. He also called for strengthening national academies in both countries to better introduce the shared heritage to the people of Iran and Tajikistan. /IRNA
