Iran's Parliament speaker visits 3 Latin American countries

Pars Today – On Saturday evening, Iran's Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf began a regional tour of three Latin American countries—Venezuela, Cuba, and Brazil—at the head of a high-ranking parliamentary delegation to attend the BRICS parliamentary forum.

Speaking to reporters before departure, Ghalibaf referred to the potential of Latin American countries and the role of parliaments in expanding cooperation, particularly in economic and industrial sectors. He said the aim of the visit is to attend the BRICS's Speakers Forum and meet with officials in those countries to enhance parliamentary, political, and economic collaboration. He added that the Islamic Republic is determined to leverage parliamentary diplomacy with BRICS member states to advance bilateral and multilateral ties. (IRIB news agency)
