Commander of Ukraine’s Ground Forces resigns

Pars Today – Ukraine’s Ground Forces commander, who held one of the country’s top military posts, announced his resignation on Sunday following a deadly Russian strike on a Ukrainian military training center.

Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, who had commanded Ukraine’s vast Ground Forces since November of last year, wrote on Facebook: "This is a conscious step dictated by my personal sense of responsibility for the tragedy at the 239th training ground, which resulted in the deaths of our soldiers." /IRNA
