Egypt: We support peaceful resolution of Iran's nuclear case
Pars Today – Egypt’s foreign minister said on Monday that Cairo welcomes Oman’s mediation efforts in talks between Tehran and Washington, and stands ready to offer any necessary support to help achieve a peaceful agreement on Iran’s nuclear issue.
In remarks following a meeting with Rafael Grossi, the Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Badr Abdel Atty said Egypt supports the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone and the elimination of all weapons of mass destruction in West Asia.
He added that Egypt favors diplomatic solutions to address tensions surrounding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and hopes that ongoing negotiations will lead to a sustainable agreement. (ISNA)
