Iran–Venezuela to expand cooperation in biotechnology and food industries
Pars Today – The head of the Food Industry Biotechnology Research Institute of the Islamic Republic of Iran said on Monday that a major step has been taken toward strengthening international cooperation and expanding scientific ties between Iran and Venezuela. He stated that, in addition to enhancing human resource capacity, this initiative is expected to lead to the design and implementation of joint developmental and applied projects in the field of biotechnology.
Mohammad-Amin Hejazi announced the conclusion of a one-month international training program for Venezuelan researchers at the Food Industry Biotechnology Research Institute in Tabriz. He stated that the program was aligned with national and global priorities in the food and health industries and demonstrated Iran’s strong capacity in applied biotechnology.
Hejazi noted that the course was designed to provide Venezuelan researchers with both theoretical and practical training across all levels—from basic to applied—in the field of probiotics. / IRNA
