US professor: Trump’s diplomacy claims are unreliable
Pars Today – A professor at California State University has dismissed US President Donald Trump’s claims about diplomacy and returning to negotiations with Iran, calling them untrustworthy given Washington’s long record of broken promises and use of violence.
David N. Yaghoubian, a history professor and senior analyst on international affairs, said early Tuesday that any future agreement with the US must be action-based and verifiable.
Referring to the 12-day US-Israeli war against Iran, he stated: “Considering the failure of this recent effort to weaken the Islamic Republic and the regional and geopolitical consequences of Iran’s ultimate victory, reality may dictate that Iran no longer needs to rely on the US or Trump.”
Yaghoubian added that the Islamic Republic will continue developing its peaceful nuclear energy program in ways that best serve its national economic and security interests.
