Chinese ambassador in Tehran: Beijing supports Iran’s sovereignty and constructive role in SCO and BRICS

Pars Today – The Chinese ambassador to Tehran announced that Beijing will continue to support the Islamic Republic of Iran in maintaining its national sovereignty and dignity, and in playing a constructive role in multilateral platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS.

Zhong Fei Wu, speaking at the ceremony marking the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized that Beijing has always been a builder of global peace, a contributor to global development, and a defender of international order. He added that the Chinese army has always been a decisive force in maintaining global peace.

The Chinese ambassador in Tehran noted that deepening cooperation and promoting peace is the essence of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Iran and China. He said that in recent years, the two countries have strengthened mutual political trust and tightened their shared interests, playing an important role in enhancing the well-being of the Iranian and Chinese people and in maintaining regional peace and stability.
