Pars Today – Despite claims that thousands of aid trucks have entered Gaza, people remain hungry, and the assistance is reportedly disappearing in the so-called “Bermuda Triangle.”

More than a month and a half has passed since the ceasefire in Gaza. Under the agreement, 600 trucks carrying food, medicine, fuel, and other essential supplies were supposed to enter the Gaza Strip daily. According to Pars Today, citing Al Jazeera, Israeli officials claim that thousands of aid trucks have entered and hundreds of thousands of tons of food have been delivered. However, the reality differs from these figures. Many of the trucks carry low-value goods rather than essential items.

International organizations have also questioned these claims. The World Food Programme says that only half of Gaza’s food needs are being met, while Palestinian authorities believe that only a quarter of aid is actually allowed in. Of that small amount, only a tiny portion reaches refugees and the poor, as the aid reportedly disappears in Gaza’s “Bermuda Triangle.” The short distance between the border and the camps becomes, in practice, the longest political and security route. People hear about the trucks, but they do not see the relief packages; they hear about tons of flour, but there is no bread on their tables.

According to a UN report, the Israeli military has restricted the routes and diverted trucks onto dangerous roads. As global attention has waned since the ceasefire, the disappearance of aid has become normalized. This crisis, engineered by Israel, represents another form of collective punishment of the Palestinians; with every truck that vanishes in Gaza’s “Bermuda Triangle,” the ability of people to continue their lives is further eroded.
