Iran: Israel’s genocide in Gaza, backed by the U.S., prevents lasting peace in the region
Pars Today – On Friday, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India responded to a recent message from U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that Washington’s interventions in West Asia and its support for the Israeli regime are the root causes of instability in the region.
Earlier, Trump had posted on the social media platform Truth Social: “Now that the nuclear arsenal being built by Iran has been completely destroyed, it is very important that all West Asian countries join the Abraham Accords.”
In response, Iran’s embassy in India wrote: “U.S. interventions in West Asia and its unconditional support for the occupying regime are the roots of instability in this region. Until the Palestinian issue is resolved by the people of the land themselves and West Asian countries establish their own mechanisms for regional security, sustainable stability will remain unattainable.”
The embassy added: “The genocide carried out by Israel in Gaza, supported by the U.S., will prevent any lasting peace in the region for years to come.”
The Abraham Accords are a series of normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab countries that began during Trump’s first presidential term, drawing sharp criticism from many analysts for ignoring Palestinian rights.
