Tehran expresses support for Caracas in meeting between Iranian ambassador and Venezuelan foreign minister

Pars Today – The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Caracas conveyed Iran’s message of support for Venezuela against threats to peace and security during a meeting with the Venezuelan Foreign Minister.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto wrote on Tuesday regarding the meeting: “We held a meeting with Ali Chegini, Iran’s ambassador to Venezuela, to reaffirm our strategic alliance as well as our friendship and cooperation in defending sovereignty, development, and a multipolar world. In this meeting, we received the message of solidarity from the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran against threats to the peace and security of Venezuela and the entire Caribbean and Latin America region. In this regard, we expressed mutual trust and believe that our bilateral cooperation and activities in multilateral forums will continue to be strengthened through diplomacy for peace.” / IRNA
