Pars Today – The European Parliament has passed a resolution expressing concern over the critical situation in the Gaza Strip and urging EU member states to put recognition of an independent Palestinian state on their agenda.
The resolution — adopted with 305 votes in favor, 151 against, and 122 abstentions — also called for the immediate opening of border crossings and an end to the humanitarian blockade of Gaza. Lawmakers reaffirmed their support for a two-state solution, emphasizing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as the path forward.
