Pars Today - Esmail Baghaei, Islamic Republic of Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, reacted to the recent interview of the French preident with an Israeli media outlet and said: Why should Emmanuel Macron hastily choose an Israeli TV channel and assure his "selected" audience that the snapback is definite, in order to reject a proposal that he himself admits was a reasonable one from Iran?

Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, in an interview with Channel 12 of the Zionist regime on Thursday evening, discussed Iran's nuclear dossier and the European troika's decision to activate the snapback mechanism against Iran. He stated, "The reinstatement of UN sanctions against Iran through the snapback mechanism at the end of September will be certain, as the latest information we have from the Iranians is not serious." Referring to diplomatic efforts, Macron claimed, "The Iranian Foreign Minister tried to present a reasonable proposal to reach an agreement with the European powers but did not gain the support of other members of the Iranian government." Macron also, while acknowledging the linking of non-nuclear issues to Europe's decision to activate the snapback mechanism—which is an illegal move—stated, "We have never underestimated the threat of a nuclear bomb, ballistic missiles, or Iran's destabilizing actions in the region." Last night, in response to Macron's remarks, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, stated: "On behalf of the Islamic Republic, a reasonable and actionable plan has been presented to European counterparts to prevent an unnecessary and avoidable crisis in the coming days. However, instead of addressing the content of this plan, Iran is now facing a series of excuses and obvious evasions, including the ridiculous claim that the Foreign Ministry does not represent the entire political structure of Iran."
