Pars Today – The spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army said the Americans dare not approach the Strait of Hormuz and are staying more than 500 kilometers from Iran’s coast.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Brigadier General Amir Akraminia, spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, said Iran had strengthened its air defense coverage compared with the previous two imposed wars. He added that Iran’s armed forces now had greater air defense capabilities than they did during the second and third imposed wars.

Akraminia also spoke about joint exercises conducted by Iran’s Army and Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ Aerospace Force, adding that updated air defense equipment and combat tactics had been tested during the drills.

The Iranian Army spokesman also advised commercial shipowners that vessels seeking to transit the Strait of Hormuz must coordinate with Iran’s armed forces and obtain authorization from the Persian Gulf waterway management authority.

Akraminia described US interference and presence as factors contributing to insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and harming the global economy. He said the only way to restore stability to the strait was to expel the United States.

The Iranian Army spokesman concluded by saying that the Americans dared not approach the Strait of Hormuz and were staying more than 500 kilometers from Iran’s coast. He added that, under the operational plans currently in place, US forces would move even farther away in the coming days.
