White House press secretary fired after five days

Pars Today – The White House’s new press secretary has been dismissed after just five days in the role.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Katie Zacharia, the White House’s new press secretary, was fired by Trump after just five days in the position and a single 14-minute press briefing.

Zacharia was appointed on October 9 and held her first press briefing on October 13. The briefing lasted just 14 minutes, during which only three reporters were allowed to ask questions.

It later emerged that she had never passed the bar exam, despite repeatedly describing herself as a “lawyer.” Trump had also referred to her as a “lawyer” when introducing her.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said he had advised Zacharia that “perhaps this job isn’t right for her” and that she “should reconsider it.”

According to Fox News, Zacharia was fired on Friday, having lasted less than a week in the position. The episode has become one of the shortest tenures in the role in recent White House history.
