Lebanese President emphasizes necessity of convergence, unity of positions

Pars Today – The President of Lebanon emphasized that the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyyed Hashem Safieddin should serve as a turning point for convergence.

“Joseph Aoun,” the President of Lebanon, stated in a message on Saturday marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the two late Secretaries-General of Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyyed Hashem Safieddin: "Safeguarding the sacrifices of the children of this land – regardless of their affiliations – is only possible through the unity of positions and the support of all for the project of a single, powerful, and just government." 

He added: "Confronting the security, political, and economic threats that threaten Lebanon today is only achievable through national solidarity and avoiding duality." / IRNA
