Double standards of international community toward Gaza
Pars Today – Palestinian human rights and relief officials have accused the international community of deliberate neglect regarding the thousands of martyrs buried in Gaza and of applying double standards.
Omar Shaker, Director of the Palestine Division at Human Rights Watch, criticized the international community’s double standards toward Gaza and held the Israeli regime responsible for the crimes committed by its military forces.
Mahmoud Bassal, spokesperson for the Palestinian Relief and Rescue Organization, reported the discovery of 280 bodies under the rubble and stated that approximately 10,000 other martyrs have remained buried since the past two years. Bassal described the international focus on returning the bodies of captured Israeli soldiers while ignoring the suffering of Palestinians as a clear example of this double standard.
He also noted that his organization receives dozens of requests from families daily and emphasized the urgent need for advanced equipment and an international political decision to end this humanitarian catastrophe. Meanwhile, despite the declared ceasefire, reports indicate that Israeli obstruction continues. / IRNA
