Review of U.S. military attack option on Venezuela

Pars Today – CNN, citing three U.S. officials, reported that the President of the United States is reviewing plans for a potential military strike on Venezuela.

According to CNN, the officials stated that President Donald Trump is exploring military options against Venezuela. At the same time, U.S. secretary of war Pete Hegseth announced the deployment of an aircraft carrier and the execution of the first nighttime strike against the drug trafficking group “Tren de Aragua” in the Caribbean Sea, which resulted in six deaths.

While U.S. authorities claim the operations aim to combat drug trafficking to the United States, analysts view them as an effort to increase pressure on the government of Nicolás Maduro and pave the way for regime change.
