Jordan opposes West Bank annexation

Pars Today – The King of Jordan announced his country’s firm opposition to the annexation of the West Bank, stating: “Jordan’s security is inseparable from the security of Palestine, and supporting the Palestinian people is a factor of stability for our country.”

On Sunday, King Abdullah II, in a speech to the Jordanian Parliament, emphasized his country’s steadfast support for Palestine amid external pressures. He condemned the actions of the Israeli regime in the West Bank and warned that the absence of a political horizon could ignite the region. The King described supporting the Palestinian people as akin to a “brother supporting a brother,” noting that Jordan is not merely an observer of developments but is deeply involved as a principal actor.
