Ryabkov: Russia stands shoulder to shoulder with Iran

Pars Today - Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, on Monday emphasized that Moscow strongly condemns the bullying and coercion by certain countries regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, stating that Russia stands hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder with Iran.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony for the BRICS Capitals Parliamentary Cooperation Agreement in Moscow, Sergey Ryabkov commented on the latest developments in Russia-Iran relations, stating that the two countries have developed years of very deep, practical, and multifaceted cooperation, and he emphasized: “I believe there is no mistrust between our countries.”

Ryabkov noted: “I hope those aware of the very difficult and challenging period our countries are going through also understand that Iran and Russia must stand even closer together.”

He added that Russia is prepared to strengthen relations with Iran across all areas—including economic, financial, practical cooperation in transport projects, and nuclear affairs—highlighting the significant ongoing joint initiatives in these sectors.
