Araghchi responds to remarks by IAEA Chief and Omani FM

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister reacted on X to the realistic statements by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Omani Foreign Minister, affirming that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons.

According to IRNA, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated on Sunday that in the past 48 hours, the heinous lie used to justify the illegal bombing of Iran by the Israeli regime and the United States, under the pretext of an “imminent nuclear threat,” has been completely exposed.

Araghchi stated that the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency has explicitly confirmed that Iran “is not developing nuclear weapons and never has.” He added that Mr. Al Busaidi, his Omani counterpart and a trusted mediator between Iran and the U.S., also emphasized that there has never been any “nuclear threat from Iran.”

The Iranian minister further noted: “Iran did not undermine diplomacy; it was the Israeli regime that attacked diplomacy because it feared that its project of portraying Iran as a threat would fail.”
