Hezbollah: Negotiating with enemy not in the national interest

Pars Today – Lebanese Hezbollah on Thursday emphasized that negotiating with the enemy brings no national benefit and warned that some have tried to hand over the resistance’s weapons to the enemy as a gesture of Lebanon’s goodwill.

In an open message addressed to the country’s top three officials and the Lebanese people, Hezbollah stressed that events have proven Lebanon and the group have steadfastly adhered to the ceasefire agreement from the very beginning until today, while the Israeli enemy has continued land, air, and naval aggressions and violated the agreement.

Referring to the Lebanese government’s hasty decision regarding the restriction of arms, Hezbollah stated that some attempted to present their weapons to the enemy as proof of Lebanon’s goodwill. The message also noted that the enemy exploited the government’s mistake to use the issue of disarming the resistance across Lebanon as a condition for halting aggressions, but Hezbollah warned that all Lebanese should know that Israel is targeting not only Hezbollah but all of Lebanon.
