Pars Today — The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights stated that the permanent displacement of Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories constitutes a war crime.
In its statement, the office said that demolitions of homes, seizure of property, and ongoing attacks by Israeli settlers and forces against Palestinians are part of a systematic pattern of rights violations. In this context, Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, called for an end to attacks on Palestinians and their property, holding those responsible accountable, and empowering Palestinians to exercise their right to self-determination.
Türk emphasized that Israel must end its illegal presence in the occupied territories, halt all settlement activities, and evacuate Israeli settlers. /ISNA
