Preparations underway for new Sumud Fleet to break Gaza blockade
Pars Today – Pro-Palestinian activists are preparing a larger and more diverse fleet for both land and sea movements toward the Gaza Strip— a renewed effort to break the blockade that continues even after the ceasefire.
Tunisian and international activists announced that in the coming months a new fleet of ships will head toward Gaza, one that is broader in scope and organization compared to previous attempts.
Unlike earlier efforts, Tunisia will not be the primary gathering point. Other countries—including Algeria, Mauritania, and even Libyan ports such as Tripoli and Misrata—have been proposed as staging and support hubs.
According to organizers, dozens of countries are participating in this initiative. At the same time, a land convoy carrying humanitarian aid will depart from Mauritania toward Rafah. /Mehr
