Israel blocks EU commissioner from entering Gaza Strip

Hadja Lahbib, EU Commissioner for Equality and Crisis Management
Pars Today – The Israeli regime, by preventing a European Union commissioner from entering the Gaza Strip, once again restricted international access to the crisis-stricken area, impeding exposure of its crimes in Gaza.
Hadja Lahbib, EU Commissioner for Equality and Crisis Management, who intended to enter Gaza via the Rafah crossing during her visit to Egypt, announced that Tel Aviv had denied her request to cross the border.
Expressing disappointment at Israel’s action at the Rafah border, Lahbib said she wanted to witness the dire situation in Gaza firsthand, but the Israeli regime prevented her from doing so. She described the conditions in Gaza as a “graveyard for thousands of civilians,” including aid workers, noting that around 600 aid workers have been killed while trying to save lives in one of the most dangerous places on Earth. /IRNA
