Araghchi meets senior Saudi diplomat in Tehran

Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs
Pars Today – On Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Minister met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, who was visiting Tehran, to explore ways to expand bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati, discussed Tehran-Riyadh relations as well as regional and international developments. Araghchi described the ongoing genocide and crimes of the Israeli regime in occupied Palestine, along with its intensified military aggression against Lebanon and Syria, as the greatest threat to regional and global peace and security. He stressed the need for greater cooperation and coordination among regional and Islamic countries to curb Israel’s warmongering and lawlessness.
Al-Sati reaffirmed Riyadh’s position on the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation among regional countries to preserve peace and stability. Following the meeting, the Saudi deputy foreign minister also held talks with Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani, Iran’s special envoy for Syrian affairs.
