Beijing voices strong support for Caracas against U.S. threats

Pars Today – China’s Foreign Minister on Wednesday sent an official message to the Venezuelan government, reaffirming Beijing’s unwavering support for the Venezuelan people’s struggle to defend their national sovereignty and emphasizing the importance of maintaining Latin America and the Caribbean as a region of peace.

Wang Yi sent a message of solidarity and full backing from Beijing to his Venezuelan counterpart, Ivan Gil. The message was delivered during a meeting between the Chinese ambassador in Caracas and Venezuela’s foreign minister. In it, the senior Chinese diplomat highlighted external pressures and reaffirmed China’s commitment to stand with Caracas in safeguarding Venezuela’s independence and sovereignty.

Wang Yi also described Latin America and the Caribbean as a “region of peace” and expressed confidence that, through strategic unity between the two countries, ultimate success in achieving peace and stability would be realized. This diplomatic support comes as Venezuela faces increasing threats from the United States, with Beijing once again asserting its opposition to any foreign interference in the internal affairs of independent countries.
