Pars Today – Israeli authorities, by imposing a highly restrictive visa system for international staff of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Palestine, are obstructing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.

Nestor Umohangi, UNFPA representative in Palestine, stated that Israel’s strict visa regulations for the organization’s international staff severely limit their ability to access Palestinian territories and deliver humanitarian aid. He emphasized that the organization requires work visas for its staff to operate in al-Quds and coordinate emergency response operations, but obtaining these visas is often extremely difficult. Umohangi added that staff who succeed in obtaining entry visas to al-Quds still require additional permits to enter Gaza. / IRNA
