Putin: Goals of special military operation in Ukraine must be achieved

Pars Today — The President of Russia, during a visit to one of the command centers of the “Western” group, stated that the objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine must be achieved.
Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff, the Head of the Main Operations Directorate, and commanders of the “Western” and “Southern” groups, emphasized that the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine must be fulfilled unconditionally.
Putin said that Ukrainian soldiers should be given the opportunity to lay down their arms and surrender. He noted that fifteen battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been encircled near Kupiansk.
The Russian president added that since March of last year, Ukraine’s political leadership has been nothing more than a criminal group that has seized power. Russian military commanders in the meeting provided reports to Putin on the situation in Konstantinovka, the Kramatorsk axis, and the areas surrounding Kupiansk. /Mehr News
