Pars Today – In its latest intelligence report, Denmark has identified the United States as a potential security threat.
The Danish intelligence report states that the U.S. leverages its economic power, including the threat of high tariffs, to impose its will, and the possibility of using military force—even against allies—is no longer inconceivable.
This year, a dispute over Greenland has already escalated tensions between the U.S. and Denmark.
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed ownership of Greenland, which, while largely autonomous, is officially part of Denmark.
This sparked diplomatic tensions between the two NATO members, with other countries intervening in the dispute and supporting Denmark.
According to the intelligence report, the strategic importance of the Arctic is increasing amid escalating conflicts between Russia and the West. The growing U.S. security and strategic focus on the Arctic is expected to further accelerate these developments.
