Pars Today – Syrian news sources reported a U.S. military raid on a town in Deir ez-Zor province, eastern Syria.

Syrian state television announced that a U.S. military convoy, consisting of several armored vehicles and heavy equipment, entered Al-Shahil town, while the sky above the area was filled with intensive fighter jet and military helicopter activity.

Hours before the raid, some Syrian media outlets had reported widespread flights of unidentified jets and helicopters over the province.
